Archdale Police Department Brings Lifelong Learning to Archdale Elementary Through "POLICE READS" Program On November 15th, the Archdale Police Department visited Archdale Elementary School for their monthly POLICE READS activity. Officers engaged with students in grades 3-5, reading stories and sharing their love of literacy. This initiative highlights the importance of lifelong learning and fosters a love for reading in young minds. By showcasing police officers as role models who value and enjoy reading, the program helps inspire students to see reading as both valuable and enjoyable. We want students to know that learning doesn’t stop after school. Reading is a skill that opens doors throughout life, and we’re here to show that it can also be fun. The POLICE READS program not only strengthens the relationship between law enforcement and the community but also reinforces the idea that education is a shared responsibility. Events like this emphasize the critical role that positive role models play in shaping a child's outlook on learning.
